Welgrow Self Help Group was established over 5 years ago by a group of community-minded individuals who recognized the need for a local, affordable and transparent financial safety net for families.
Starting with a small group of founding members in Chennai, the organization has grown to serve 20,000+ members across INDIA. What began as a modest community initiative has evolved into a well-structured mutual assistance program that has supported over 250 families during their most difficult times.

Welgrow Self Help Group was founded by a group of 50 community members in Sangli with a vision of mutual financial support.
Reached 500 active members and made our first community support disbursement to a nominee family.
Officially registered as a community organization with formalized policies, governance structure and membership rules.
Launched digital record-keeping and online communication channels for better member transparency.
Grew to 10,000 members and expanded operations across multiple districts of across INDIA.
Today, over 20,000 members trust Welgrow — and we continue to grow, serve and support communities.
